“Return to Life” Award & Cocktail Reception
Part of our Pilates Day celebration included the PMA’s First Annual Return to Life Award and Cocktail Reception honoring Dr. Arthur Agatston and Sari Agatston. Dr. Agatston is a leading expert in the field of cardiology, and is perhaps best known as the author of the South Beach Diet. The reception was held at Sports Club L.A. in the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, FL.
The PMA is collaborating with the Agatston Research Foundation and their Healthier Options for Public Schoolchildren (HOPS) Program, which promotes and educates children in public schools about making nutritious eating choices. This collaboration will incorporate the introduction of the PMA’s exercise initiative, Pilates in the Schools (PITS), Creating Healthy Movement for Life.
In addition to the presentation of the Return to Life Award, the cocktail reception featured a silent auction and fashion show. The silent auction items included various works of art donated by Miami’s hottest galleries, season subscriptions to the renowned Miami City Ballet and New World Symphony, and a club membership to Sports Club L.A., just to name a few.
The fashion show, hosted by Tao Freedom, featured exquisite designs both chic and practical… spanning the borders of leisure and elegance.
Proceeds from the silent auction went toward the Pilates in the Schools initiative. following day).
